Disciple: Master, I'm worried of my death. If I'm to die, why should I be born?
Master: You never die. You're Atman. To realise this, you are born again and again.
Disciple: What is Atman?
Master: Atman is what you really are. Your inner self, your true self, the soul, the deathless one.
Disciple: You mean, Atman is deathless?
Master : Yes. It's imperishable, eternal, everlasting.
Disciple: Why is it deathless?
Master: Since it's formless. You can destroy only that which has a form, not Atman.
Disciple: The other day, you told me, God is formless. Today you say, Atman is formless. How can there be two formless things? It's against science and logic.
Master: Yes. There's only one that is formless in the the universe and the beyond. God is the Whole. Atman is the part of the Whole. God is water. The pond, pool, well, river and cloud are Atman. Atman is a part of Paramatman, God.
Disciple: You mean, Atman and God are the same?
Master: Yes. The identification of your inner self with the universal self is the objective of your birth. That is the meaning of Nirvana, Moktcha, Enlightenment, Samadhi, Veeduperu, mukthi, salvation, liberation and all.
Disciple: What about this body? What's its relation to Atman.
Master: The body is the house where you live in. The resident is Atman. The body is the vessel. The essence is Atman. The pot is body. Milk is Atman. When the house becomes old, unfit to live, the resident vacates the house and finds another house to live in, the rebirth. Those who attain self-realisation, the enlightenment can't born through a womb again.
Disciple: What happens exactly to my Atman when I die?
Master: It leaves your body with a genetic imprints of all your experiences and knowledge gained through this life and the previous ones. It hovers above the earth, waiting for the right time to be born through a womb.
Disciple: If all the dead people are reborn, only the same number of people must be on the earth. Then, how did the population increase?
Master: The more the desires are, the more bodies and the more lives Atman needs. Some desires arise in a second, but needs thousands of years to get fulfilled. Atman may be born even through the same womb several times, as your brothers and sisters.
Disciple: Can I talk to a dead soul? If so, how?
Master: Yes. Through a living person, functioning as a medium? I will explain it in detail later.
Disciple: How does Atman choose a body for it to be reborn? How many years will it take?
Master: Only the soul of the enlightened one like Buddha can enter into the matching body of a living person who is enlightened. Other souls have to build a body for themselves according to their karmas only in a mother's womb. It waits for the right time in the same way a seed is waiting to become a tree.
Disciple: Will it be born as a human being or as an animal too?
Master: Only evolution, not the reverse, is possible. Human soul with specific karma will never choose an animal body.
Disciple: Is it possible to think that there is no Atman in my body and it is only an imaginary term since I find no evidence?
Master: Who built your body with a particular design? Who is behind the function of your body? Who converts your food into blood and flesh? Atman is invisible but it is manifest in your very appearance, thoughts, words and deeds. To deny Atman is to deny yourself. The unified force, spiritually recognized as paramatman is the source of the existence and function of the universe. Your inner self, the part of paramatman is the source of your existence and function.
Disciple: I beg your pardon, master. Show me the way to realise my Atman.
Master: Meditation is the key. Silence is the way. To know it, become it. You are at the surface of your inner self. Move in to the centre. You will find that there is infinite distance between you and your body.
